ok, i just got a led shop 50 and this is a short review!!!

id like to start off by saying thank you again to glenn for this AWSOME laser!!!
the laser looks nice, and tipical of a cheap greenie, but has a good heavy feel to it.
it has a HORRIBLE beam size!! at the laser head it measures 2mm!!!! but that dosen't stop this beast of a 50mW from burning!!! i can pop balloons from over 20 feet!!!! And the one thing that 2mm beam is good for is night lazeing!!! boy oh boy is it fun at night and is (im sure youre tired of this)
as bright as a light sabor!

i am sure it is over 50mw.. maybe 100mw.... to pop a balloon at such distance
 
The good thing about having a big beam diameter means you will have potential for lower divergence, that would explain why you can pop balloons from so far away.
 
Glad I sent it! You are getting some real fun stuff going with that unit! I found 1/3 of the units I got from LED Shoppe to be about this ones power! :drool: I also have one that is doing about 130 mW peak! My best CNI pen is it's output equal. Thanks for your work on the video! I know that you will have fun with the next couple of things I will send. -Glenn

what lpm did you use?... i think you have a good divergence to pop a balloon at 20 feet(about 6 meter) .. wow.. only 70mw? i thought that to "burn" over 5 meter you should have a 200mw laser poointer or over... 5 meters are 5 meters...
 
How long did the shipping take from Led Shoppe ( I live in East Tennessee)? Bought a 50mw this weekend and they said it shipped Monday by Air Mail and that it could take 7-20 days. Yikes! I want it by Halloween.

That first picture looks like 2 separate beams. I've not seen that in a beam shot b4 from one laser.

I have one of these myself and they are by all means worth every penny.

Double beam was the camera shaking I'm sure. I just got 2 more of these, one doing 80 the other 90 mW, hope to get another few as the best one I still have is 100 to 128 mW! :eek: I bet these are the most green mW / dollar I get in a while! -glenn
 
Wow! What are the best rechargeable mAh batteries I should use tha i can say get from Wally World? And again, I hate to ask so many times but how long does it take for these pointers to ship to the US? I'm thinking of buying a +55 from Opto just so I'll have something here by Halloween. Mine shipped from Led Shoppe on Monday.
