Ordering/Shipping:
I placed my order August 30th and the laser shipped on September 1st. The laser arrived on September 11th to the USA. The laser was wrapped in 3 layers of bubble wrap and was in a plain white box. Pretty fast for free airmail shipping.
Shipping: 9/10
Appearance/Feel:
The laser feels heavy and good in the hand. The laser is focusable by twisting the head of the laser. The laser has a click on/click off switch. Battery goes in negative facing the tail cap. All the threads feel really smooth and the laser can be focused down to a very small dot. The laser also doesn't roll because of the flat ends on the focusing knob. Overall I am very pleased with the host.
Now for pics!
Laser Host: 10/10
Laser Power/Burning:
I don't have an LPM to measure the power, but according to a review on lazerpoint his LPM'ed at 215mW. The beam is visible in a lit room. As for burning it can light matches and burn through plastic. I think I can safely say this laser is about 200mW. I couldn't take pictures of the burning because the it was too bright for the camera and I only have one pair of goggles.
Beam Shots:
Bonus Messy Room (Painting In Progress)
Conclusion:
Overall I am very pleased with the laser. The build quality is good and it seems to be on spec. I really do like the host. Lazerpoint seems to have a bad reputation, but I decided to give them a try. I think I got a pretty good deal for $18.
