EDIT: Given the bad feeling and suspicion by some of the forum members, I want to stress one thing.

This review can be good, fair or poor, but is honest and based solely on my point of view, without any interference of any kind.

This laser in question I bought paying scrupulously the store price, not a penny more not a penny less.

And I have NOT received any discount, money, gifts, or any other compensation for making this review,
I did because I wanted to make, and also to help the forum members on the possible choice on this laser, or not, thats all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you begin, sorry for the mistakes when writing in English,
and this is my first review too, (I have no previous experience in this area).
And for these reasons I expect yourselves to be lenient with me :)

----------------------------------------
NOTES OF LAZERER COMPANY:

In the process of purchasing and shipping, everything went without the slightest problem.

I paid with PayPal.

I have not had to seek any help.

----------------------------------------
SHIPPING AND PACKAGING:

Spent a total of 10 +/- days from order to receipt of the package.

The laser was purchased on July 17, 2011 21:39:07 (central European time), (July 18 for them, in Asia)

Both the package and the contents have arrived in perfect condition and very fast,
(for a shipment from Hong Kong), Only 8 days.

The laser was shipped from Hong Kong on July 20, 2011, and arrived on July 28, 2011.

----------------------------------------
PACKAGE CONTENTS:

A box for the laser, the laser, 2 keys, and the power certificate (Optional, $2).

The power certificate included graphs for IR filtered, and non-IR filtered power output.

----------------------------------------
FEATURES:

Model: LZCS532-200 (link to this laser) >>> LZCS - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

Price: $89.99 (At the time of writing this review).

Wavelength: 532nm.

Labeled Power: <200mW.

Body: Black anodized aluminum.

Battery: (No included) 18650 / 16340.

Dimensions: 145mm long x 23mm diameter (5.72" x 0.91").

----------------------------------------
TEST AND CONDITIONS:

Note: Tests were performed 4 times for results as accurate as possible, with breaks of 10 minutes between tests.

The laser was tested with a full charged 18650 Lithium Ion battery, 2600mAh (unprotected).

Room Temperature: ~25.5ºC.

LPM test instrument: LaserBee 2.5W USB.

Distance from diode to sensor: 20cm, (7.87").

Beam Diameter: ~4mm.

Test Was Done During for 185 Seconds in each test (total 4 times).

Max. Output without optic: 212mW.

Max. Output with optic: 206mW (In some of the test, a little less).

Average Output: ~192mW (In some of the test, a little less).

Current consumption: 0.63 Amp. at 4.0 Volts.

Watts: 2.52 Watts (Including the driver).

Divergence Is: <1.1 mRad Aprox.

-Can Light a Match quickly, Pops Balloons, Burns Dark Plastic, Ect.
------------------------------------------
PROS:

Good price for this power.

Focusable laser.

Quality, are acceptable for the price.

Laser is in the power advertise +/- (But including the IR) and according to the certificate this is 16mW.
(Sorry but I don't have IR filter yet, to check it).

Safety Key.

Nice Spot and Really Bright.

Its light weight, and moderate size.

In some test, I've had it ON for at least 4 minutes, and only heats moderately.

-----------------------------------------
CONS:

Fluctuations in the power output (I guess for this price you can not ask for much more).

The Driver Is is really basic and soldered directly to The diode Pins.

Because the driver is welded directly to the diode, and is subject only with 2 pieces of foam,
if too much pressure is applied to the switch, the driver can be bent.

Divergence can be better, but for the price is not bad.

The optic has no cap to protect against dust.

No Battery or charger Included in the price.

-----------------------------------------
Overall Conclusion:

I thought it was a pretty decent laser for its price, with good power-price.

Above all, what I liked least is, the fluctuations in power output (but these are almost barely perceptible to the naked eye),
the driver and its placement.

-----------------------------------------
NOTE: Some judgments are personal and subjective, and may not match those of other people.

Great Review. I like the LPM Charts.:)

Thats 1 thing iam missing in my set up.

Hope Lasersbee comes out with the data logger soon.

+

Very nice review, thanks. This might turn out to be a good company to deal with.

Lazerer also has 400mw (two models), and a 500mw. If the company is still going strong by the time I can afford it, I just might get the 500mw, with power certificate, and request that an IR filter be installed.

Thank you ;)

Where I've spent more time trying not to do many misspellings haha

Yes, the LPM LaserBee and the data logger software are great.

If this company continues to sell laser at a good price, and certifies the advertised power, I think it will be good for this community.

Nice review. What is the IR filtered output?

Thank you :yh:

I can not measure it because now I have no IR filter to test it, and so far I have no glasses that filter out 100% of the 532nm, so that the measure would not be correct.

But according to the power certificate the IR is 16MW, I think that reading can be quite correct.

Update:

Earlier today I received the IR filter, and after various tests I can say that this laser has a ~16-18mW of IR.

The truth is that the measurement made by Lazerer is very accurate, and contained in the power certificate purchased.

This certificate says 16 mW.

i want to buy one so bad but they dont have it in stock :(
which one is the most similar laser to this one?

Get the 150mW version. Honestly without an LPM you won't know the difference, and chances are if you get the 200mW version, it will be slightly underspec.

The 150mW and the 200mW use the exact same module, it's just the 200mW modules are slightly more efficient;)

what about rayfoss or o like 200mw green lasers? how are they compared to lazerer's 200mw green laser?

Nice laser you got there. Maybe I missed it, but does it really emit only 16mW of IR ? If that's the case, It's a steal for $86 :)

You can get one from o-like, although if you really want, I can sell you one, I have two of them. It peaked at 201mW, has about 30-40mW of IR content.

Personally I wouldn't trust rayfoss... they've been going downhill.

I have an identical laser... only did a quick test, but IR content is was very low for me, under 10mW iirc. It was putting out 190 total I think. Very good laser for the price imho. I wouldn't be surprised if they raise the price on it a bit.
