Overall the feel of this laser is TOP NOTCH!!!!!! It almost reminds me of holding an old MAG light. It just feels so sturdy, and well made. Currently it's probably my favorite laser. And whenever the next GB is, I'll probably join that one too, and grab something else from them. They have earned a repeat customer!!

Powerd by x2 IMR 700mAh 16340's.

Nice. That's the second one of these I've seen come in overspec at around 2 grand. I noticed that they recently added the PL445-2000 to their lineup (mere days after I bought the 1600) and wonder if those in the group buy actually got given 2000s, or if the 1600s are really that overspec. I have no power meter so could give no indication of power but mine burns stuff across the room even with a defocussed beam (my curtains can testify to that). In fact, depending on your uses you'll soon get "sick" if that's the right word, of its potent ability to burn, eating up 16340s like there's no tomorrow and heating up fast. I like using mine but it's a force to be reckoned with, a handheld death ray of sorts... I actually locked the focus around half a turn from infinity to minimise accidental carpet burns and the like.

Ps. Does the beam move around a bit on yours when you focus? Mine does a bit, I think the focussing lens must've been glued slightly wonky. No effect on performance though. And how do those non rechargeable 16340s hold up?

wow insane impressive almost 2W congrats, it looks great.

lol checked out the 1,6W and they say output is 1600-1620mW hahaha funny :D yours a little more or they on accident took stronger diode :P

Wow, nice laser you got there....most laserbtb lasers are over-spec but yours is almost 2W! Enjoy it!

Looks like a gorgeous laser! Congrats!

I just placed an order for the 2000mw version and can't wait for it to arrive. I unfortunately don't have an LPM to test the output but I've asked for laserbtb to send me a copy if possible.

I notice you have some 18350 batteries... Have you tried them in this unit? I just started a thread recently asking if anyone has tried them as I already have a bunch of the Efest flat tops for my e-cigs. It would seem to me these would be the better battery to use as they generally have a better mAh rating and should offer a better fit.

Yeh, the efest I use are 700mah. And so far, no complaints. Though I don't run my lasers for prolonged periods.

Again an unfocused beam so as to not cause any damage. My snow shots didn't come out too well.

The wind off the ocean was fierce, so in my hast to take some shots, I didn't focus the camera properly. But here are my shots nonetheless.
