This is my first review of a company. I couldn't find anything about this company so I figured I would post about my experience so other people would know whether to order from them or not. The first site I came across was skylaser.cn which seems to be the manufacturer site. I emailed them for a quote, but where you actually buy the lasers from, or atleast the one I did, was laserbtb.com and there is actually a link on skylaser.cn to that site.

My very good friend Woodofcville once had a white laser pointer from SKYlasers and I thought it was just beautiful so when I found this I decided to order it. Also SKYlasers got their lasers from the manufacturer and they were just an expensive middle man from what I have heard.

Review

Pricing, Shipping, and Service Quality
I purchased the 532nm 150mW white laser pointer for $75.36. After that and 2-3 Day DHL shipping, the grand total was $98.91. I have to say it seemed really cheap considering what SKYlasers had their lasers priced at but I took the risk hoping it was as good quality as SKYlasers.

I ordered the laser on January 3rd and finally received it on January 24th. Not the fastest shipping especially since I paid about 23 dollars for 2-3 shipping. I had to message them after about a week asking what was up. They informed me my laser was made but the laser was illegal in the U.S. and also they said I didn't specify my country although I am sure I did which annoyed me anyway because they sent me the address they had and my zip code was in it. So after a few very difficult understanding e-mails they said, "we will write "mini flashlight" in the shipping invoice and DHL bill,
and send DHL to you."
They seemed to be really nice but of course they are Chinese so the English is broken.

The Laser
Here is a link to the specific laser I bought.... here.
The laser was shipped using DHL and it came in a a box with some padding and the laser was in the case.

It has a good solid heavy feeling and the weight is balanced so it feels nice holding. It has a cap at the end and a little key to switch between the modes. There is three modes on the cap but the yellow dot isn't low power mode anymore its just another off. Once you turn it to green you can take out the little plastic key thing thankfully. There is a blue light by the button and it lights up indicating that the laser is on which is when you push the button. Here are some picture showing the host and things I talked about.

So the host is very nice but the important part is the actual quality of the laser beam. Well I have to say I am really impressed with this laser considering the price. The beam on this is beautiful. It has a very tight beam and the dot is small even at a considerable distance. The beam divergence compares to good quality expensive laser I have seen.

I compared the laser to a 50mW and a 200mW green. It seems to be around 150mW but thats basing it off my eye. Unfortunately I do not have an LPM but I can say this has to be on spec or really close. For $98.91 its hard to even get a 50mW of this quality so knowing for sure its over 100mW makes me very happy with this buy. I definately love this laser and suggest to people who want a good pointer.

150mW on the left. 50mW on the right. My camera sort of brightened up the 50mW when I would take a picture but you can tell the difference and its a greater difference in person.

Overview
This laser surprised me greatly considering the price. It seems to be as good as my friends he had and he paid over 200 for it. Anyone who wants a good pointer I would get this laser. You can choose which power you would like and all powers and nicely priced. I will probably be ordering from this website again in the near future. The prices are fairly cheap for the quality of laser you get. I hoped this review helped and if you have any questions or you want to see a specific picture or video, just ask. Thanks for reading :thanks:

That laser looks like it would be at least 110-120mw and at most 170-180mw its hard to tell with out an lpm but if that lasers last long and doesn't break for 98 bucks thats a good deal.

A good way to gauge the power would be wrap your hand around the button area and see how fast it gets warm. At 150mW it should get hot fairly fast.

If this laser was proven to be onspec I'd say its not a bad deal. But Sky has an iffy reputation.

Ask a vet to meter it for you.

Ya they do have an iffy reputation and I was totally in the dark ordering because I couldn't find anything on them but I am impressed with this laser so far.

I really do need to get this lpm'ed though. I used an optic to focus it and it burned things.

Nice review.
I might buy the handheld 532nm from them - LINK
I don't know if I should or not - I'm thinking the 200mw or 300mw one.
Anyone know if they're IR filtered and do they usually come up to spec from there?

I have a question. It looks like from the photo on their web site that the green pointer projects the dot as an image of a clover. Is that right? I imagine the dot is so bright that you could not discern the shape but is that true? Some pointers are paws and quarter moons and other funky images. What's up with that?

Any chance you could measure the beam diameter and divergence? Then maybe get it LPMd so we have some kind of idea what it's putting out?

Do you have an lpm? If so would you be willing to test it if I sent it to you. I feel this company has great potential for being a great deal. I planned on ordering others if this is onspec or close.

Yes I sure do. I have tested many other forum members lasers also and I do not mind doing the same for you. I can also calculate the divergence for you as well if you'd like.

It's not uncommon for websites like this to require manual updates to the status of your order so perhaps they are preparing your order and planning on updating it once it ships.

I think you mean STRIVE. If you were to STRIKE than you would be refusing to work, usually for better benefits or higher wages.
Thanks for the nice lasers! I have purchased a handful of them myself.
