laser spirograph V2 By apdigitallight.com
I would like to introduce my 3 mirror spirograph by LPF member AP_Digital_Light. http://laserpointerforums.com/members/ap_digital_light/
This thing is awesome! AP did a spectacular and professional job. Everything was assembled with the upmost care, very clean work. He even made a professional overlay or label on the front. Hard to believe this piece of art was made by hand.
It is using a PIC based microcontroler. It can display a endless sequence of randomly generated patterns on it's own.
You also have the ability to store up to 80 of your favorite patterns in it's memory.
It has a 10mW 532nm module so you can have a endless duty cycle. Especially with the 3 fan motors circulating the air
All three motors are independently controlled by it's own speed dial. Giving you total control over the patterns of light. You can make so may different and mesmerizing patterns. Every now and then you hit a real sweet spot and make some real cool patterns.
AP was very pleasant to deal with. I felt that he was actualy excited to share his work. Took less then 2 weeks.
He had no problem honoring a last minute request to ship my package express mail. Infact the package was already in the air from Ontario Canada. One whole day before I even paid him, thats trust
AP has a pretty cool website AP Digital light with many cool projects. Some have been seen on instructables.com
You can get the complete plans for this spirograph and other cool projects.
Upon request AP can provide the completed PIC based microcontroler. Or you can request a fully assembled spirograph. For a completed unit, prices start at $150
Here is a video of my laser spirograph. The patterns were created in auto mode randomly
