Laser Pen Shop Pointer

Hey everyone who contacted LASERPENSHOP about a free laser in return for a review;

I Emailed Tony about the lack of response from them, to those that wished to take part in the "free laser for review" offer, & this is the answer I received from him;

Hey guys!

Was shocked this morning to find a laser from laserpenshop in my mail :beer:

As it was for free i am really happy with it!

It is a 50mW model and it peaked at 86mW and stabilizes at 70mW. A big plus is that it is focusable! That way i am able to burn matches :beer: Although they promised me a 100mW i am still pleased as it is free

It runs of a single 16340 which also came in the package!

Now i don't hope regular orders take as long as this review unit but i am sure that isn't the case

Ok so i was dissapointed and wanted to get 100mW And since i got i for free i took it apart and adjusted the driver little bit Now it puts out a steady 101mW :beer: :beer: only 15mW more but now i can say i got a 100mW greenie for free and i don't do damage to the diode lol

That's GREAT pal !!! I hope that everyone else that applied for a "FREE LASER" gets one as good or better even. It's just too bad that only 10 people applied for this "FREEBIE". It sure is a lot better than getting just a cheap-o pen laser, right ? But, anything for FREE is good news though AFAIC !!!

yes way better although i had to ask for it myself to get this one And i was very carefull with increasing the current. These chinese things burn out before you know it! The 15mW increase was just for bragging rights :shhh:

I got mine in the mail today to! . It looks to be the exact same laser as OffRoadFreak received, a <50mW green

50mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer with Battery

My laser arrived safely in a white paper padded bubble envelope, but had no box ( although one is shown on the webpage.) One UltraFire 16340 880mAh 3.6v battery was included.


I like this little host much better than the pen style lasers. It fits the hand well and has some heft to it. The ability to focus is a nice touch.
It seems pretty well made. All the threads are nice and smooth & the knurling on the focus ring is sharp and crisp. It appears to be powder-coated rather than anodized. The battery does rattle ( if that kind of thing bother you, a few wraps of tape will remedy the problem.)

The laser came with an unprotected 16340 battery that is 34.65mm long. I tested it with a protected cell that is 36.74mm and it fit just fine.




My LaserBee is showing a peak of 70mW. ( All tests were done with the stock battery @ 4.05V )



When tested with an IR filter it showed 59mW.

Haven't had a chance to LPM it yet, but should be ~50mW at least. I'll post some pics and reading tonight.
