A few days ago, I was on here talking about trying out Amazon's high powered green lasers. So I did.

I bought this:
Amazon.com: MillionAccessories Adjustable Focus 5mW Green Laser Pointer Pen With Safety Key + Battery + Charger: Electronics

First, I'll start with the looks and price. It comes with the battery, charger, and there is even a lock on it. For only $30. The host is nice, black painted metal all around, with a metal focus. The focus to me is pretty nice. Twist it all the way down, and its a solid beam. Twist it all the way out and its for burning. Much easier than my Yobresal to focus.

So for looks and price, its a solid 5 star.

But what about the power? How powerful is "high powered"?
I did some testing, and found out some things:

When focused for burning, it burns:
Electric tape
Green matches (very fast)
Black clothing
Stings skin on contact
Black plastic

When focused for a beam, it burns:
Makes electric tape smoke
Stings skin quickly

When seeing what it does, I looked at the chart from wicked lasers. According to their chart, 50mW stings skin. So it is above 50mW. But it does not light black tipped matches without being focused, so it is below 100mW. They say that it takes 75mW to pop a black balloon, but unfortunately, I don't have one.

SO, for power I would say that this is around 75mW. On Amazon, it says that it is 5mW, and the power label on the laser itself says 5mW. So you definitely are getting a much more high powered laser.

So, for power and performance, I will say 5 star. As long as it doesn't break on me later.

Here are some pics: It looks better in person.

So, to sum it up, I would say that if you bought a laser off of Amazon, you won't be disappointed. I wish I could tell you exactly how powerful it was, but I don't have a meter. But to get a near 75mW green laser in a nice host with a lock and focus for only $30 Prime, I would say that you are getting a pretty good deal! 5 stars!

I picked up the same laser from Amazon about a week ago.
Same seller but a different listing for only $21 without the battery and charger. It definitely has a much higher output than the listed 5mW.

Not bad at all for the price!

You could always get a member who lives near you to meter it...
Nice review by the way, I like the way you did some research to try and gather the approximate output.

i made a commen in the BST section that "million accessories" must be a code.

i have 3 difffernt model 532's the 301, the mini torch military, and their pen.

I've seen 90 mw on the torch and 70-75-80mw on the 301 . The pens seem to come in around 40 - 50mw.

Since i have a few of each.....they vary slightly , but million accesories seems to me to be a code for extremly overspec 5mw 532's

And they are fun since they are relatively cheap. I find i use them more than my higher powered 532's.

3.2 Laserbee.

Why?

Don't get me wrong the powers vary.....but 90mw wasn't a shock, as i could tell it was quite bright. (military pointer "looks like a minitorch" )
only one unit hit that high mark
Even my 405 pen is around 45-50 mw, Also from "million accessories" from Amazon.

The webpage is now returning a 404 error. I wonder if they caught on?

Looks like a nice laser at a very good price. The only thing I don't like about lasers like this one is the advertised 5mW of power. If a non LPF member were to buy it believing it was a 5mW eye safe greenie they are bound to get hurt.

Jamaall quote _"On Amazon, it says that it is 5mW, and the power label on the laser itself says 5mW. So you definitely are getting a much more high powered laser."

This is why I believe an LPM reading is a must for every new laser. Most laser enthusiasts probably don't have an LPM. Best not to trust stated power for your two eyes.

I've looked around more and found out that the "Laser 301" is the same as the one on yourlasers.com. Except theirs says "SDLaser 301". It is a 50mW laser. It's near the same price, except it has free 2 day shipping on Amazon.

Yep I found others on Amazon with an on/off switch. Jotted a couple of them down in the Green Lasers forum.

DX used to sell lasers with this host for arround $30. Pretty overspec (85mW)

Of course it's probably not the same laser/supplier

I heard DX is now yourlasers.com. And you can get some of the same lasers they sell for the same price or cheaper on Amazon. Just different shipper and maybe even free shipping. The one i got on Amazon is also on yourlasers at the sane price but with free shipping.

Yes, they moved their lasers to Yourlasers due to Paypal restrictions. The one in Yourlasers is that same I bought and reviewd.
