FP 200mw keychain 10440, my unit very bad...

hi, i reeived the laser.. bt my unit is a shit.

the divergence is horrible... not like an usable laser for long distance. yes it bur... but BECAUSE the initial beam diameter is less than 1mm.. and the power is concentrated. ,

it heats up after some seconds..... and i tested it with my lasers be little power meter(max 200mw).... at 80/90mw initially... but afrer some warm up... it decreases to 35.. max 40mw. and i see that its brightness is going down.

so.. i am going to ship back it to FP... i don't like it at this power... and mrad. baybe dinodirect have better units... from a different stock.

don't laze me bro received a 120 stable unit.. and peak 150.. .. that's a great laser.. not mine....

i will update the thread when i will recive the replacement.

got mine yesterday, cant reall test it as i dont have a meter nor a recharger. So, i'm just using the battery that it came with with what charge it has. My beam wasn't bad, was wide when i hit a white fence, about twenty yards. Didn't have it on for more than three seconds at a time, so, i really couldn't determine heat. The rubber button sux?

That's really disappointing, but don't people around here usually advise against anything over ~120mW in a pen or surely a keychain?

l didn't expect the advertised mw. I liked the small keychain size. However, i did expect the AAA battery they advertise. Guess fp was wrong on both account.

A single AAA just can't supply enough power. The pump diode is doing a lot more to get 120-150mW of 532.

the don't laze me bro unit is nice... 120 stable. do you think that dinodirect bought a different stock... that is better? now i ship back the unit to FP... so within 45 gg about i would have a replacement unit in MY HAND ( italian shipping is very slow).

i hope to receive a pen from a different batch..... but i am not sure if i want a full refund and buy a dinodirect 38$ same pen.

i think the PRODUCER of this laser is the same. but quality change unit by unit.. and stock by stock.
however.. if it is really 100mw or 120mw... with an ACCEPTABLE divergence... this could be my preferite laser......to bring everywhere with me..... + burning power.
it is very small, and large like others 30mw keychain.... NOT LIKE pens like i previously thought.
the diameter of this laser is smaller than nomal 2xaaa pens... so... it is a nice jov to have this power in a so much little module...........
