hey guys, well i finally got my laser yesterday. I ordered the laser, a charger, and 2 rechargeable lithiums. I placed the order on April 25th. My batteries and charger came May 2nd. The laser itself came in a nice box with a "silk" lining. To my surprise, the laser actually came with a battery, "now that i checked on the site, it does come with one". So back to packaging. The box was placed inside a bubble-wrap lined envelope. I took the laser out and placed the "default" battery in it, then clicked it on and it was bright as hell! After messing around for a few minutes, i took a beam shot down my hallway. This is where the fun begins... About ten seconds after taking the picture the laser cut out. So i took the battery out and a random spring came out with it. Once i posted my issue on here, it was solved in about an hour. I ended up taking the laser apart and re-soldering the spring back on. Then i popped one of my rechargeable lithiums in it and wallah, it worked again. Now the new problem was that the beam was WAY out of focus. So what i did was adjust, VERY carefully, the lens on the module. Today, i went into my "laser" room and started up the fog machine. I took various pictures; including a few that had my little 1mW red in there ;D. The next thing i did was compare batteries. I put in the 3.6V rechargeables and then the 3V battery and took a comparison picture. Although i cant really see the difference, ill let you guys decide. This laser DOES pop balloons fairly quick, "you just need a steady hand". I have not tried to light a match because i cannot find any in my house. Overall, ill give this laser a 4 out of 5. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5, but the minor problems i had at the beginning were a nuisance. My next two things i am planning on doing is testing my laser for waterproofness and IR leakage. I am not finished with this review so i will be adding a few pictures and updates as i experiment with this beauty.

P.S. Sorry for kinda telling my life story there a little bit ;)

best regards,
Matt

Do you mean that you got it June 2nd, and ordered it May 25th? (the only reason I ask is because I've seen your other threads regarding this laser)

You might want to take a look at the Romisen 30mw from DX. These things are great value, and have been shipping VERY quickly lately. I am in Texas and the last order arrived in 8 days total from date of order. They are solidly built, the pot is easy to get to, the clip is removable if you don't want it, and the flats on the tube make it easily mountable in other applications. I really like them. And they cost $21!

yea, the reason i have them is because my neighborhood is VERY involved with halloween "lots of little kids" and we have the best house award. So every year i have to step it up and increase the fog. lol Two of them are regular ones and one that i just recently bought is a low lying fog machine.

The best house award... hmm so your house looks like the place Freddy Krueger and Jason would like to hang out? I hope just during halloween then. ;)
