Yes but they leave a slip in your mailbox so you can either go to the post office or have them deliver it on a good day for you

I just received the 5mW version of this (I didn't want it too bright when used for presentations).

I have a couple of AW's (from CPF) Li-ion batteries (size 10180) on the way that I hope I can make fit. These are slightly smaller in diameter than the AG13s (10 vs 11 mm) and slightly longer (18 vs 16mm). I'm hoping I can shorten the spring a bit use the Li-ion cell.

I got my 10 mW laser today. With fresh cells, I peaked at 20 mW once. Otherwise, 14 is about max. I measure 220 mA off those poor cells and read 2.9 mW of IR. Those cells can barely hold 10 mW !!

I got the same measurement off my 5mW.

220mA draw from a 138mAh battery. The 138mAh is probably at a draw of 14mA or so (C/10). At 220mA draw (1.6C), its capacity is probably only in the 10s of mAh.

These lasers eat the batteries as I've let the kids do all the playing with them for their first lasers. I had to buy a bumper pack of batteries from fleebay to keep up with the boys hammering them.
all in all they've had a lot of fun for a couple of youngsters 13 & 15 years old. Now they've had the experience of owning a laser and have been using them safely, I may see if Santa will let them have something more powerful to own..... :)

i bought a cheap red laser and got tired of replacing the button cells so i simply took 4aa's (check the combined voltage of the batteries for the green one it might be different) and i hooked them up to aligator clips onto the spring and casing and it works great, no more battery changes every 5 or 10 min.

...lazer... ;D ;D ;D
