hello,
as we have stated clearly on our website

"Caution: some products sold are marked to be 250mW while they are really less than that. These are manufacturer claimed. We do not have the adequate equipments to test output so we recommend you to thoroughly read about these and only buy them if you feel comfortable doing so."

and now i got news from the factory,
they said that it is impossible it <5mw, because they have test it, some of them is lower than 250nw, but will not lower than 5mw. But according to what you stated, I am not sure its real output.

In order to give justice to you as long as my products, Please return the item to our returning centre

Priceangels.co.,Ltd
1512 Huashenglingyu
Jingtian North 7 Street
Futian Shenzhen
P.R.China
518000

please put your ticket number on the front of the envelope.

Return the item(s) by registered airmail with tracking number; If the registered mail costs more, pls return by standard mail without tracking number.
We will send you a replacement once we get the item and confirm it is really <5mw. If you don't like a replacement one, I will give full refund to you.

As far as I know, the shipping fee will not be too much, please choose the cheapest one, and I will be responsible for it.

But you have to put it in mind: If the laser is not as bad as you state, or if you have given ununjust evaluate to my product, you have to pay for the shipping fee twice (your shipping fee and ours). For I will not be happy with your word, if it is not impartial.

Sorry for the problem, and good luck to you.

reliable john

EDIT

BTW, udanis, what do you mean by a few days? It is less than 2 days. I have to retest my lasers, and ask the factory about the products, even when I was busy with some other problems.

And all friends of LPF, I think we need the truth, not the unbiased complaint. my workers promised me for another time, they have tested it before sending, they are sure it is impossible to be so bad. Of course, it won't be overspecs, and I have tell all LPF members, lasers besides the listed ones in my thread have no output guagratee. But I will be responsible for it, if udains are right. I shouldn't send such a bad item to my customers

So the only solution is to send it back, I will take a video as soon as I receive it ( and will show you everything from the beginning of the opening to the ending of the test)

Will a dead diode give any readings at all on a LPM?

I can tell you I have made two purchases from PA so far, and have been EXTREMELY pleased with both my orders.

While it is unfortunate that this happened to you, this isn't a "review" of a product. It's a complaint about a defective product you purchased. Assuming that everything happens the way you said, all we can do is assume that the product was damaged during shipment, which is not "John's" fault. While he has a responsibility to replace it if this was the case, it's not as if he is intentionally selling 2mW pointers or intentionally sabotaging products before shipping them out.

He's offered to refund/replace the product as well as cover the shipping charge once he's received it. All that's left to do is return the product. I feel your original post exaggerates the problem and may cause people to shy away from shopping at PA, which they shouldn't. I personally plan to continue shopping at that store as so far it's been the cheapest, and fastest way to get our normal wares from China.

Well I'm guessing english isn't your primary language, so here is the definition:
a few, a couple of (more than one but indefinitely small in number) "a few roses"; "a couple of roses"
WordNet Search - 3.0

Here is a video in action: YouTube - PA Laser Review.

Here is a video show it's current draw: YouTube - PA Laser Review.
The current fluctuated between 20.3mA and 20.6mA.

I just upload them, so they might need a little time to process.

Edit: oops sorry about the vertical 16:9 format.

yep, theres something wrong with that laser.
I guess that video should qualify it for a replacement, if new batteries were used.
