Default BitLasers 4.5 Watt 465nm light blue handheld laser

Disclaimer:
While I did inform the owner of BitLasers (mostly for the reason of asking where to post a review), I did not get any money, discounts, or any kind of benefit for this. I'm writing this review for the sake of writing a review and informing others.

Delivery:
At first I was displeased with the laser being shipped by non-registered mail. However, I received it just 6 days after payment, which was a pleasant surprise since is very fast compared to other vendors I've bought from (although it may just be due to the short distance between Norway and Lithuania). The package was wrapped nice and safe, in plenty of bubble wrap. Upon opening, I was greeted with some papers with a legality disclaimer, safety warning, as well as an instruction for the (very trivial) assembly instruction. All items arrived in perfect condition (or at least I can't notice anything).

4.5 watt 465nm laser:
The laser, being 4.5W, is stupidly bright - as to be expected I don't have a measuring device at hand, so it's quite hard to tell, but visually it seems around 5-ish times brighter than my (measured) 1.5W 450nm laser, which I can then roughly guesstimate to be 4-5W, just like advertised. It heats up quite fast, and I wouldn't want to use it continuously for longer than a minute, 30 seconds to stay on the safe side. however, due to the large heatsink, it cools down quite fast as well. Half time on, half off, seems to be a good ratio to keep it cool-ish. The divergence is quite poor, as noted on the seller's page. Seems to be a ~1 cm line at around ~2 meters distance. It's adjustable, and converges to a point very nicely. The energy density at the focal point is really absurd. The build quality looks good, although I'm no expert and can't say for sure, so don't quote me on that one.

Soshine 18350 1000 mAh batteries:
I've ordered two pairs of those, and with my discharger I measured them to be between 900 and 950 mAh. Not quite 1000 as advertised, but close enough to be within the margin of error, and a welcome upgrade over my 700 mAh ones (which are the best I can get locally for some reason!). They came in these cute little cases, which was a nice little addition I didn't expect.

Good Power GD-847A charger:
Looks kinda shitty, cheap, and made in china. I was naively expecting something better, but to be honest, it's what you'd expect for that price. You really can't get a good charger for 7 eur, at least none that I'm aware off. As far as functionality goes - it works, charges, and cuts off when charged. So no real complaints there

Images (as much as my shitty phone cam can handle). In these images I'll be comparing it to a 1.5W 450nm laser, since that is the closest I have.

The body (damn nice looking if you ask me):

Beam emission. Note that this room is well lit with a ceiling lamp, the same one in the picture above. Yet the laser makes the whole room blue, when it hits the white ceiling.

Shining on a wall 2 meters away (phone completely shit it's pants on this one):

Same as above, taken through my safety glasses. The shot really doesn't do it much justice, but at least it lets you see the divergence somewhat (from around 2 meters).

Close-up of burn marks on my wall (oops.) happened when taking the pictures above, from two meters away.

Shining down from the sixth floor, even though it looks bright in the photo, it even looks a bit brighter in reality.

Hopefully I can take some better images later and maybe update the review.

Overall, I'm quite happy with the experience and product, and willing to buy again!

Welcome to the forum, this is a great review. I haven't seen many BL reviews before, so this is a great resource! I'll add it to my guide soon. 465nm sure is a beautiful color. +rep!

That diode makes some heat. I like that host. Nice laser. I have looked at that site and saw the 465nm. I couldn't get a good scale of size from the pics on there but next to your other laser gives me a good idea. Checkout Sanwu's 3x BE. It definitely helps with the characteristics of the NUB07E. Dont forget the adapter and might as well get a G7 lens. Happy lasing.

Looks like you got some decent mass with that host/heat sink, should give you some nice run times. Really like the color the 465wl ( 07e) produces, she sure is a show stopper! Enjoy that guy, thanks for all the info in your post. Good read! And welcome.
