This is a good review so far.

I thought I would mention that the key switch can be bypassed easily.
All you need to do is use a paperclip to stick in the "notch" where the key fits and push it into the "on" position.
I do this on my PGLs. I like the safety features but I don't like to leave the keys in. They make the laser a bit more cumbersome.

I already had bad experiences with the leck of safety features at the Arctic. The batterie was empty, I changed it and while screwing down the tail cap, suddenly the 900mW came out some centimetres away from my face. Thank got I wore some safety glasses.
Activating the PGL-III-C is laborious, but there is a lot less risk of an accident.
That would not have happened if you used the safety pin on the Arctic. I removed mine when I inserted the battery for the first time, reinserted the pin after the tailcap was back on.

Great review though.

How is the battery life compared to the Arctic? Is it just me, or does the Arctic eat batteries very fast. Got 4 18650 batteries and my Arctic eats them pretty quickly. Seems the Arctic needs the highest capacity you can get. Been looking on Ebay and seeing some unprotected 3000mAh ones, which I may yet get for my Arctic.

Yes, the batterie WL sending with the Arctic sucks, I had to load it 3 times till I have my Arctic. My O-Like 200mW greenie (bought in Nov 2009) still live on his 3rd battery-charge, and I used t a lot.

We should look for one of those batts, both free shipping:

2 UltraFire 18650 3.7V BRC Rechargeable Battery 3600mAh - eBay (item 280540827492 end time Aug-26-10 22:44:40 PDT)

1 x 18650 without tab 2800mAh rechargeable battery GTL - eBay (item 190430638039 end time Sep-11-10 21:43:38 PDT)

I don´t know if the one posted in the first link are protected or unprotected!?
