Enough about my picture.... Will S-ky do a trade-in
on my old "summer" laser????
What do you think?

I think at this point you're out of luck on a trade...

I also think that the divergence of .55 is suspiciously good.

@offroadfreak8582 - Take a page out of Mike's book... setup the laser outside if you don't have enough room indoors, and measure it over a greater distance. I suspect one of your numbers is off.

Btw, Mike, for a second there I thought you were wearing a cape :tinfoil: that is an interesting shirt.

I try to measure at ~ 25' and then about 250' across two neighbors lots!
This increases accuracy of the readings.
They don't care and "trust" me!!! With this damn laser?

Wow... you really go the extra mile... so to speak.

Where I am, the only place to get 250' of open space would be at a park. Either that or on a road:(

You might be right but we'll see!
Here is what I just sent S-ky---------

"Hello my friends ----
About 2 years ago, I got a green portable laser from you through “Betty” your worker.
It is a P532F-150B-Fa model -- s/n 0911301102

Since new, this laser outputs about 60 mW until it is warmed to body temperature when
it will output around 160 mW. At that time, I told Betty that this was very temperature sensitive and would only work in summer temperatures. She responded that I had received a “summer” laser not suited to cooler temperatures. I asked at that time for a trade for a “winter” laser and she never replied.

It appears that you have control of your processes and don’t advertise “seasonal” products.
I am still willing to trade this laser back to you for a more stable 532 nM laser.

I have reported this on LPF several times and I am waiting for a reply from you.

Thank You:
Mike (Hemlock Mike of LPF)"

I'll wait for a reply -------------------- right

guys sorry for the delay! I was on a trip to Shanghai :) I updated the OP with a new divergence!

The beam diameter 1m from the aperature is 4.1mm and at 9M 14.2mm ( for as far as i can tell )
Which gives : 1.2624993292317612 mRad

Which seems like a better number in my eyes!

Also on the market in shanghai i lolled very often :p They sell quite a few lasers there and they got like the standard pen pointers and those flashlight model pointers. I spent an hour explaining them that a bigger laser does not need to be stronger then a smaller lasers...

-> They still didn't understand lol :p

greetings,,
