okey, well.

i know focalprices isnt the best website to buy an laser but..

i just bought this lil tiny cheap small green laserthingy like 1.5 weeks ago:

it costs €10 / $14.

i started browsing lasers on google, looked fun.
came up to this forum, looked at much stores.
wanted to try something cheap to see if i like it.

from korea to The Netherlands took 6 working days,
free shipping, not realy good box but ok, only $14.

i opened it, putted 2 AA batterys in it.
clicked the button. BOOM, unbelefable power!!!

im not joking!!

at 15.00, thru my window, i could see the point + beam for as far as i could look.

at night, i cant describe that, just unbelefable for 14$.

i readed that you need 95wM + to pop baloons and light matches....
nonononoon, i wanted to try to pop an baloon, and it worked 0-0.

it lights matches to but takes some time, 10secs.

i will try to make pictures but man, the power is unbelefable.

if you dont want to waste to much money and just want to have an nice laser. than this is just the best.

hey.... i have a n IMPORTANT question. some months ago a member bought 2 lasers.. your samelaser. but we understood that the most powerful lasers are the ones WITHOUT the writted label laserpointer on the side of the body.

to you have this written? please post images

Also, please take some pictures of the laser operating.

If you have a digital multimeter, can you read the current draw from the batteries?

I see you have used your second chance wisely!

EDIT, I see that the laser has extendable barrel, You should buy some 14500 li-ion batteries and try 1x 14500 instead of 2x AA, it will give you good power , without the need of buying AAs all the time.

i think that this is true, sindce the powerfullest lasers are Illegal, so no label, i think those are dangerous to, bether stay at o-like and rayfoss.

If you want to buy from O-like, I warmly suggest adding Susie to MSN, ans ask her for prices, shipping, and arrange an order through MSN (that is how I order stuff from O-like).

O-like is great, you will not be dissapointed.

While you are spending cash out there, make sure you pick up some safety goggles from O-like too! You don't want your eyes saturated with coherent light...

but i play MUUUUCH games so know pretty good english.

also, there is 1 big thing that i hate,
i wanna take the laser to school etc show ppl but if i get 200mW i dont think thats possible #_#

And don't carry any kind of laser in school EVAR.
Trust me, it is not worth it. Do not ever take any higher power laser in your school, as someones eyes and your laser will get destroyed (or both).

Not all street lights have senzors.

i boughts that laser month ago and im really happy with it! ITs not well focused but its ok. Build quality in my opinion is better than DX cheapies. Its so easy to dissasemble, just screw the top and the diode comes out. So yeah its pretty good

OK, I got one, it came fast, and it will peak near 50 mW but usually does about 25-30 mW unless the batteries and temp. are just right. It's a pretty good deal for the $14.76 IMHO, but has no IR filter. -Glenn

Beam @aperture, divergence, mode hopping, beam centered?

For $14, this 30mW greenie makes an excellent beggining laser, or a gift or so.

If you weren't sucker for the lasers, you would not be here (like all of us here hehe

It is always nice to have a few weaker lasers handy, you never know when you need them for presentations or something where 150mW is too strong (as hard it is to believe a laser could be too powerfull

)

Or just simply have them around to give away when it's somebody's birthday and you want to hook them up to the hobby.

OK, here's more detail:
beam diameter at aperture: 1mm
divergence: approx 1.3mrad
TEM 00 stable
host to beam concentric within <2 degrees, (very good)
about 1 second warm up to >35mW Typical output 44mW

Mine also works just fine with a single rechargeable 14500 battery, a nice option.
