Re: 445nm Laser !

So it is an A140. Just as I thought. Did the heatsink and diode unscrew? Or did you have to press them out? You seem to have gotten yours a few days ahead of me:p
Mine should be here in a day or so. What's the diameter inside the tube?

Re: 445nm Laser !

Nice shinney hosts. I've seen these on eBay, was curious do they have glass or acrylic lens?

Edit, if acrylic can they be replaced easy?

I've had two before and they were both acrylic. Then can be replaced easily, but the acrylic lens has some sort of adhesive on it. Once it is removed, make sure to clean off the adhesive from the threads in the focus adapter, or you'll have a wonderful time trying to thread a new lens in:D

Re: 445nm Laser !

Is that 445 nm or 405 nm? According to pics with label and beam it looks like 405 nm.
BTW very nice laser.

Edit: Also class II, really? :D It says below 200 mW, what include class 2 as well, but beam looks like class 3B at least. :D These labels are sometimes funny. My 800 mW rated is class 3B according to label for example.

Thanks for the instructions/info Lildutchboy, read Pmans build on one and didn't see the answer. Were you happy with yours? The hosts seem brass?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they're brass. I liked them quite a bit but they do seem to scratch a bit. I wouldn't say they scratch easy, but I did get a few on mine when I had them. I had to buff them out some and they looked shiny again after words.

They seem to fit the Sanwu star caps on the ends as well, so that's a bonus:)

Thanks, kinda like the looks of the hosts. How was the run time, 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off ?

Edit, also what was the output of the ones you had, noticed in the passed they have had different outputs for sale on eBay?

To be honest I can't remember exactly as its been a while. I do believe they had decent run times on them though.

Re: 445nm Laser !

Alien, that is a nice looking brass laser, as others have mentioned, it will make a nice host for any number of builds; great find. :D
Be sure to show us the finished product after your re-build.
The smooth clean style looks a lot like the solid brass laser that I built a while ago.

Alien, what do you plan on placing in yours? I've never seen these with anything other than a blue before.

Re: 445nm Laser !

Lildutchboy7 try not too use it too much the lens will melt,i was thinking of the PL520B in this host would look very nice only this is a 5.8mm and i would need a 3.8mm heatsink unless i could get one at 3.8mm costume made i have an idea how could make it send this heat sink so he could measure it, or the NDB7675 would look nice then i would need a 9mm, if nothing then a M140
i replaced the lens was very easy i used another 3element lens just to make sure it will screw in then i used an new 3E lens,
this host is nice just have to wipe it all the time :)
