Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :)

You guys need to get better batteries.......Ultrafire doesn't make a 4000mah 18650.

Its counterfit. At best these batts are 1000mah....as tested on the "flashlight forums"

If/when you do replace these batts remember to get unprotected as they are the correct length . Protected will cause too much pressure up on the diode.

Otherwise this too is one of my favorite lasers...

As IE would say you don't put cheap gas in a lambo do ya??

Beautiful pics Shane!!!

Thank you :)

I am using an AW 3400mAh (Panasonic) 18650. I gave my CrapFire 4000mAh to my brother with his 150mw 532nm I got for Xmas...

Excellent! You may have gained a bit of output by doing so

Curious where did you get the unprotected 3400mah Panasonics?

Orbtronics? Lighthound? I'm abit of a battery junky

I've had excellent results with Ultrafire xsl 18350's .... Yellowish/ orange cells. So not all xxxxfires are crap. They hold charge and deliver performance in some of my higher powered 445's( i've swapped the Ultra's instead of my Aw IMR 16340 in my 2 cell units)

Panasonic is premium fuel alright!!!

with this host the diode is never under pressure from a long battery. you would want to maybe shorten the V- spring to accommodate protected cells.

OK...great.! I was worried as i tried to fit some protected batts in this unit.

Not knowing the exact innards i worried about pressure/damage or misalignment of the diode housing.

I've switched to the industrial panasonics ( unprotected)wich deliver great amp draw.

I picked up about 100mw over the "provided" battery.

Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :)

BTW I would like to input, that the 18650 4000ma UltraFire battery that came with this was a beast. I bought a AW 18650 3400ma Protected Panasonic battery and its awesome. I recieved another 4000ma UltraFire and it causes/produces a better beam for longer than the AW does. After 2 weeks of use trading batteries off every other time, they both only required 2 hours charge on my charger. The CrapFire unprotected gives a stronger more steady beam output... I have made several pictures and videos while burning many things. The high cap cheapy does really good. These are from the same person here in the states. So it is possible that they are from a good source and rebranded...

I got the ultrafire 4000mah 18650's and they suck :( I just use my Sanyo 18650 from WL. I've got 16340's and rcr123a that don't go to any of my lasers lol. I used to have a need for them but now I might just use them in my ophir lpm.
