Ok So Here Is my 1st ever Thread/Review,
I am reviewing a simple 250mW 650nm Laser which I purchased from NO4H99
Ill try to keep this short and sweet

Length - 143mm
Width - 25mm (at widest point)
Stated wavelength - 650nm
LPM Peak -257.6mW - taken With "Radiant X4 LMP" using "Peregrine"

Communication was amazing ! prompt replys and easily understood instructions etc

NO4H99 offered couple of dollars off the total Price to do a review also so here i am,

Laser came with Box, battery Charger, Battery and copy of LPM Reading - I paid a Total Of $60.56 USD Inc. Postage to New Zealand ,
Pretty Good if you ask me,

Shipping was very Fast and took a total of 8 Days to get Here!!

There are many other cheaper sources for this laser host but they don't come with a LPM and Its always good to know your money has gone in a LPF members Pocket.

I Was very Impressed with this Laser and only thing it needed for a finishing touch was some Teflon tape on the thread where the focusing head attatched(as seen in one of the photos)
because when the head had forward or rearward pressure it would go slightly out of focus

I Don't quite know how to put the photos where i want them so i hope this layout will do
I would have taken beam shots but im still experimenting with my Fiance's Camera
Still got Learning to do here at LPF.....

Thankz for the great buy NO4H99
ohhh and thanks heaps for my first +Rep Points also WooHoo!!:thanks:

I want to buy one of those host for myself but they are a wee bit expensive (only $15 lol)

Don't worry about # of replies about 50% of the people on this site are NOT members so they can't post.

This thread has 76 views, so plenty of people have seen it.

Nice. I have the same laser from a different source. I know from personal experience that Noah is a great member. Keep the reviews coming. Looking good so far.

That is a little bit excessive, marco....just because they are crap doesn't mean they will burn his house to the ground. True they are crap, but they wont kill him...

No, it really isn't. Cheap batteries can explode. There is a mention of an explosion in that thread, and there is the Wicked Lasers battery explosion thread.

Either one of those incidents could have resulted in death or serious injury. You want to risk it?

That Ultrafire is NOT 4200mAh. 4200mAh 18650's do not exist.

That Ultrafire probably isn't even an 18650. Did you read the thread I linked? In at least 3 separate cases, that "18650" was actually just a shell in the shape of an 18650, with a different cell type contained inside. One looked like a 16340, another was some ratty-looking rolled thing, and another looked like some kind of small LiPo pack. All of them were almost certainly old, probably used, and none of them have passed any UL safety tests at all.

In other words they are DANGEROUS and your advice of "oh, just don't worry about it, it won't hurt him" is therefore very, very bad.

If that 18650's wrapper claims the cell is "protected", it's a lie. No way in hell that cell is protected AT ALL.

WHY would you risk using garbage cells like that when you can just buy a quality cell that is new, conforms to UL standards, holds the advertised charge, and generally does what it's expected to do?

To the OP, I reiterate - GET RID of that battery, it isn't what it claims to be. At best, you just have a crappy cell that won't hold anywhere near the claimed capacity and won't last long in any case; you will just have to replace the cell anyway. At worst, the cell is unstable and you could have an explosion or fire on your hands. Don't risk it for a 1-dollar battery, spend the 10 to 15 bucks on a quality cell. Your safety and property are worth considerably more than that.

ETA: Here, I'll post you one of the pics from that thread. Take a look at that and THEN tell me "don't worry about it."

Yea I Don't put much trust in those batterys at all, I have seen all the worst case scenarios of Ultrafire mishaps and I use laptop battery pulls before I use the ultrafire batterys, its just a bit bad for someone who has no knowledge of the XXXXfire batterys etc, they would think they got a cool little package and use the cheap charger and cheap battery not knowing it has a small chance of exploding or leaking etc
