Nice video, and a nice laser.

I could be wrong, but it seems so far not on bad review of lazerer products.

I'm actually kind of hoping for one to see how it is handled. (Just hope I'm not the one that gets the dud:eek:)

Ordering the red rifle host laser this friday after payday:eg:

The laser seems nice,

These diodes can handle even more power. If you want you can disassemble it and change the driver or modify it to output more current :)... Maybe if you do disassemble it some pictures of the inside would be nice too :p

I have a similar red which factory driver was set at half power... I did my own driver and replaced it .. Now I have a more powerful red ... My diode is "long open can" so I am driving it with 467mA. :) if yours is LPC-826 it can handle safely ~550mA :) but I think 500mA is better for long life :) .. and at this current with a good lens you can get >300mW red laser :)

check this thread: LPC-826 Graphs

Congrats! on your purchase I like the host :)

Nice laser! Above spec! What song and artists is in your video?

the song is Yolanda Be Cool & Dcup - We No Speak Americano
but I really really HATE that song :D:D it is very annoying IMO :D:D:D

Thanks for the song title foulmist... I found it and overplayed it because my kids loved dancing to it. I now hate it as well.

foulmist: I just ordered this same laser since it was one of the cheapest one's on lazerer.com (their lasers seem to be above spec), and if it shows up without a hitch I will get a couple more.

I have a few rckstr drivers laying around, but I think even a maxed out rckstr probably won't do much better on the mw as piferal ordered the same laser and it's closer to 300mw than eytyxhs.

Maybe some glass and a nice aw 18650 2900mah would get it closer to 300mw?

What say you?

I need a LPM!

I will say... I need LPM too :D:D

Yes, you can get a nice glass lens to improve output..
but if the factory driver is set to lower current then that won't do much..

You could disassemble it and make some tests on the driver to see how much it outputs...
but that's up to you :) if you are happy leave it as it is

I was just checking out this laser, and I have a few questions; can it burn (I AM responsible so no worries there :D) and can the beam be seen at night (for star pointing e.t.c.)?
