I had never had a high-powered red, so what better way to start with a 1W 635? If you like a small laser with a big punch that's light on the wallet, then you'll like the Arcane.

Shiiping and Customer Service

Joker was quick to answer any and all questions and assured me that the deliveries are usually made within 14 days. I was on a time limit but I took the chance, and low and behold it made it in exactly 14 days.

The Goods

I was honestly surprised when I first saw the laser up close. I guess it was the perspective of the videos i've seen, but I had imaginied it to be about twice the size that it is. It fits and 18650 and can take a protected cell no problem.

Here's a picture of the Arcane next to the drink of champions.

Here's a front shot showing the focus knob, which is pretty easy to turn. And my camera is ass, so here are some low-grade beam shots:

Final Thoughts

I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase, even though it seems kinda tiny for a 1W. I generally don't focus my lasers, but I love having options, so the external focus knob is nice. It's also good to have at least one side-clicky laser. It has high-power, half-power, low-power, strobe, and SOS modes. I just wish that the wings were a little smaller, and more symmetrical as the right wings is longer than the left. All in all, it was a good buy.

Many that thing is tiny! The way it looks in photos I thought it would be the size of a police maglite!

Very nice looking laser though!

The original threads pictures were deceiving. It's much smaller than I thought. Very nice though. Perfect size for a 1w

Looks very nice. Even though its small it looks like its got a good size heat sink so it should have a reasonable duty cycle.

Nice review

The size of the arcane is not as big as it looks in some pics. It is shorter than it looks.

But the Heatsink head it-self is around 40mm-45mm which is more than decent. I actually has a bit bigger head than the MSSSW host has. ( Just check it compared to my MSSSW ).

With 1W 635nm it does a 5min on\off duty-cycle. And with a 3W 9mm diode a 2min+ on\off duty-cycle.

I think that as you have a Spyder S3 you are used to big lasers lol :)

The SF501B is much smaller than the Arcane. And it has an output of 1W-2.4W.

Thanks for the great review !
