Received the laser on Saturday 06/19/10, it shipped on 06/07/10, so shipping time was average. That however, does not reflect the quality of the laser or DinoDirect, who's service was excellent, I received about seven emails telling me it had shipped, tracking number, etc. Onto the laser, it came in a nice, translucent plastic case with a magnetic clasp and white foam insert to hold everything in place, which it did, this came in a plastic DinoDirect bag, inside a white bubble envelope.

(The picture is red because I have red blinds, which were closed, not because I'm the devil or anything :shhh: )

(If you look closely, you'll see dark spots in places, this is because I couldn't get a good picture of it, the flash made it too bright, and without it it was super dark :Scowl: so I lightened it up in GIMP)

Also in the bag were two coupon cards and a free gift, the Crystal Mud for plants.

Inside the case was the laser itself, the tailcap, and a blue 10440 rated for 320mAh at 3.7v.

On to the laser itself, it's got a nice weight to it, despite it's size. It's incredibly tiny, 3 7/16" long without the tail cap, 3 11/16" with it. 6 6/16" with the keychain fully extended. It measures 1/2" wide.

And here's everything. The flashlight is a Surefire 6P, measuring 5 1/4" from the tip of the tailswitch to the bezel edge.

Here's the business end, the flash makes it look super smudged up, but it's not.

(The black background is just where my room/tv was)

I'll have to get some beamshots and dot sizes later, but the beam is incredibly tight, and the dot at 25ft. is about 1 3/4" wide, very nice.

Thanks go to DinoDirect for the chance to review this nice laser.

Nice review!

Can't wait for some burning tests and some beamshots.

Also- is it just me, or is the sticker the wrong way around?

Thanks, and it's facing the correct way, it's just placed at the bottom of the host, just above where the tailcap is.

Did you mess the output? I HIGHLY doupt that it has 100mW (even with IR). Anyway, I love these keychains :D

These seem to be nice and overspec, they could be cherry picked, but I don't think they are. The beam is visible when looking from behind the aperture, with lights on or the sun out and the blinds closed. It burnt a Welch's Orange Pineapple label from ~18", and it smokes black foam on contact. My space bar has a small line in it from this and the outside edge below the keyboard does too, I couldn't resist trying. :san:

They do get warm kinda fast though. I was talking to someone on laserchat that ran his for 80 seconds straight, and despite it getting very warm, he said it never dropped below 100mW in output.
