yeah i know these are stupid ?s but i have a regular pc dvd player and a cdr/w drive sittin around. any of the diodes work? or just practice?

just practice unless its a burner then its would have a good red or at least a decent one. Maybe some nice optics and other goods.
BTW make the post useful not just yup i kmow... you do know you spelled "know" wrong?

The problem is the fact what you have asked has been asked so many times some of us get so annoyed seeing this places getting covered in these treads containing the same info that was posted 100 times before.
unless the drive says dvd burner in it the laser wont burn.
But please do use the search.
its not an attack at you for say but every one who comes in here asking the same things over and over again due to inability to search, i have not even been hear a year and this is getting on my nerves.

Thats the problem with people today, no one wants to do anything for themselves. Forum etiquette aside, this is becoming a serious problem in todays society just as much if not more so then here on the forum, everyone is so inclined to just close their eyes and 'follow the leader' all the time that they come to expect everything to be done for them. The generations are getting worse and worse as it goes on down the line. Instead of having someone tell you how/what/where/when to do something, why not just figure it out for yourself? If you learn to do stuff yourself you will learn more along the way and feel more satisfied in the end. Serioulsy dude, are you that helpless that you need every little thing spelled out for you? Open your eyes, and your ears, take in your surroundings, think what you want or are after and act in a way to achieve your desired result.

I wonder what people did before the internet? Just imagine what probably would have been done if all the information in that time was as easily accessible as it is now.

Now pretty much everything you could ever want to know is in your house in the computer, and everyone is too lazy to do anything with it. Its kind of sad actually...
