I am wondering what type of adhesive i would use to stick my Module (Aixis for 5.6mm) into my plastic lighter host, as well as onto my Aluminum heat sink. According to the Second poster i would use a thermal greese/adhesive for the Heat sink, however for attatching it to the plastic i would use a Glue of some kind. I read up on "gum" on some sort of post with a host that was made out of a nintendo "phaser."
What is the best way of going about this? I heard you cannot use hot glue to do so. The diode i am using is the PHR-803T, plastic is black and/or white, I heard something about a "gum" or "putty" would do the trick.

Re: Connecting Diode to Heatsink and diode to host...

You probably need to re-state your question as it doesn't make much sence, what are you asking?

If your refering to that stuff we use to maximize heat transfer, its thermal greese/adhesive. The adhesive does the same job as the greese, but acts as a thermally conductive glue.
You cannot use regular glue as it will just insulate and overheat your diode.

that's exactly the information I was looking for. Thank you.
