What do u guys think about this?

So this guy on youtube uses the driver off a plan old 5mW aixiz module and puts it on a 20x diode. I think this is genius becuase it has a pot and for 7 bucks u get a driver, a module, and a crappy diode. What could be a better deal ;D

I think I have seen this vid and seemed it worked, but I am not sure of the actual output. But I don´t think its a great idea, as a 5mW diodes usually takes only about 15-20mA of current. I don´t think the 16x diode would get sufficent current. If the pot is ment to adjust the current for the diode, what it certainly is, it should only offer a very small range to adjust the current hence the weak didode.

very annoying music... and i dont think that would work very well with the 5mW driver....

me too . you shouldn't test the diode without it being in the module, for heat sink reasons. and its easier to press the diode without a big driver on it.

anybody test how much current is being fed using the stock aixiz driver?

no but i will soon find out lol that was my brilliant idea to save some cash that just got shot down.
