For reasons I'd rather not get into at the moment I find myself stuck with a 125+mW laser that is putting out between 50-80mW. It's too expensive to have it repaired so I am wondering if the CNI-GLP style pens will accept other drivers/diodes. It's a nice host so I'd rather not see it go to waste. Has anyone retrofitted these hosts with other internals?

strip everything out of it and one of these fits in it perfect

Green laser module 200mW For custom build or lab [OLGLM200] - $115.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products
i have done this myself with the olike module and was very happy with the power and divergance of this laser,

or you could take a gamble and get one of these modules half the price from somewhere like this but you could get an underspec unit,

$46.81 - 200mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm) - Flashlight Parts and Tools

just take this silver part out so the module fits(takes some force)

Thanks for the information, the o-like module is worth considering as the price is right for the output.
