Question Want to buy a true 405 nm laser pointer

I'm looking for a high quality less than 5 mw. I want to buy a true 5 mw. I do not want to wear any protective glasses. I know that direct exposure should be avoided even at 5 mw. I want to use it in presentations without caring about reflection from white objects at near distance. The price range should not exceed $ 40 which is reasonable for low power laser. I need links to buy a true one. Best,,

Talking Re: Want to buy a true 405 nm laser pointer

I currently have this laser pointer. I'm not sure about the actual power. I measured in the University lab; however, the battery was not new. The measured power was 7 mw. The laser does not burn. Is it safe to use it in presentation ? ; What about White paper reflection and screen reflection? ; I know that Class 3A is considered eye safe. The 7mw power is not guaranteed, it could be a true 5 mw or 10 mw. I have not had any direct exposure to tell if its true power or not

IMO, 405nm is not ideal for presentations.
Even at 7mW, some of your students sitting
in the back rows may have trouble seeing
it. Even 10mW is fairly safe unless there
are mirrors around.

Here is a true <5mW 405nm pointer. be aware it will be dim, and expensive. That being said, it's LaserGlow. So treat it well & it should last you a hec of a long time

This is too expensive for a 405 nm. I received an email from WLPP and he confirmed to me that the actual power is 4.99 mw. The laser is advertised as less than 1mw for shipping to Australia and other countries, he also told me that the 532 nm I bought had an ir filter. I measured both lasers at the UV lab and found that both are 7mw. There is always uncertinity in the measurement. I trust the seller when he told me that he gurantee that I will be fine even if I got a direct hit. This made my day. Both pointers cost me $ 13 dollars with the shipping and are a good quality especially the white 405nm
