So I built yesterday a LPC flashlite style laser (there's a topic in multimedia if you want some pics :D) and I used 6 volts to set my Rkctsr driver at 200mA. I didn't have my batteries (2X10440) at that time, so I wonder if it's okay to power my laser with them like it is know, or if I have to change the settings of my driver. One of my big concerns is that the fully charged batteries reach about 4.2 volts each.

Grammar question now : does "volt" take a "s" when used in the expression : "4.2 volt(s)"?
Sorry, english is my second language... Don't hesitate to correct me! :) :D
Par contre je parle très bien français! :D

8.4V vs 6V are both within the input voltage range for the Rkcstr driver so I don't think it will make a different, you might see a very slight change, like +5% current but I doubt you'd get anything more than that. The LPC diode can take up to 420mA and more so there is really nothing to worry about if you set it to 200mA. If it were 15V vs 6V it would be a different story b/c I don't think the Rkcstr driver is made to go over 12V. Here's the manual, http://rkcstr.googlepages.com/MDADJv2instructions.pdf

And volt would have an s in 4.2 volts. Usually you just put a capital V though.

thanks,
Kendall
