You might check with Silent_ Dawn, he found a way to fit the host back together. He said my heatsinks worked. I don't know how hard it was to take apart and put back. But he may be willing to share how he did it...

No need to cut threads - I figured out how to take the press-fit Viclights apart and put them back together satisfactorily.

Now I just need my Flexdrives and my sleds & I'm all set.

Good to know from another person that the heatsinks work with the other style host! 8-)

My plastic piece that holds the switch got destroyed as I took it out of the flashlight, but I had the crappy kind of host that Silent_Dawn had. I was wondering if this plastic piece was necessary to hold the switch in, or if you just tossed yours. You didn't specify what you did for your build jayrob. Now I just have to try to seperate the head from the body of the flashlight.

Yes, I used the plastic piece to hold the switch just like the stock light did. You might check with Silent_Dawn about how he did his mod.
