Alright, to start off I've got no clue what im doing. Ive made a test loader with a 10 ohm instead of 1 cuz radioshack are fags, anyway. Im looking to power my PHR 803T with a flex drive and my grandpa gave me this cool meter thingy and i have it set on uAdc (the u on the meter has a backwards tail) I'm all confused and stuff but I was thinking that since I only have 5 10 ohm's I could set them in parrallel with each other to get 2 ohm then I could set the meter to 3400m and what ever calculation that I would get I would just multiply it by 2 to get the correct ma. Would this work or am i all fuckerd up? Also what is uAdc on the meter stand for?

the u with a tail is "micro" or 1millionth
uAdc means microamps direct current? I don't know

the best thing you can do is to use your multimeter and set it to volts (V) if it is autoranging, and mV if not. put the 10 ohm resistor across the outputs of the driver and multiply the reading by 10x. adjust the driver as required. or just but a rckstr test load for $10 or less (hadn't bought one in a while). or better yet two! one for red and one for blu-ray.

or make this one for cents which will do blu-ray and red., and as WHL says meter set vdc or mvdc as shown in the drawing, multiply reading by 10 if using a 10 ohm resistor.

I have just noticed that you have 3 threads going which are all related to the same laser

In one you say you cannot focus it, in another you say it is focused
In another you say that the driver is not giving enough power.

It would be far easier to help you if we had all the info in one place and without contradictory information.

Why don't you just wait for the Test Load I sent you... ::)
It is good for Red and Blu-Ray LDs..

Do not set it at uA or you may blow a fuse in the meter if it has one...
A clear picture of the face and dial of your meter will help us in choosing
the correct scale to set your meter... :-?

Not to be hating I just want to finish this damn thing cuz I won't want to do it later. The meter is some high tech thing that tells me if the voltage/current is too high. It's fine I got the damn thing where I need it now but thanks anyway. I would still need the test loader for any further lasers so it wasn't a waste. This was my first laser and I did not know what I was doing half of the time that's why I posted so much random blabber. Thanks for looking out for me but I think I got this bro.
