G'day,
Lately Ive ordered the colored versions of the 14mm? tail caps for various builds.
Ive noticed that the black and GITD green caps have a longer knob bit inside the tail cap to touch the switch, which is fine cause you can cut it down for a awesome feeling switch.
But with orange & blue caps Ive noticed the caps are really short and it gives a spongy feel when you click the switch!
So what Ive done is turned the tail cap inside out so you can get better access then cut the knob off the black tail cap and glued it on-top of the red or blue tail cap(s) with some hobby glue to give it the extra length it should of got from factory.
If you don't know what I'm talking bout then here's a photo thats worth 1000 words.
As you can see it took 1 black tail cap to make 2x proper red/blue tail caps.
End result is a more responsive switch, which is nice.
People out there are probably already doing a similar thing i would just like to show my findings!
Hope this helps!
Fiddy.
