concerns regarding the use of the Aixiz laser driver and am currently unable to get a reading off of the driver. We have attached it to a load to measure the voltage which we can use to measure output current. The load consists of a series of rectifier diodes attached to a 1-ohm resistor. The rectifier diodes simulates the voltage drop of the laser diodes we plan to use and the 1-ohm resistor is used to give us the voltage which can be translated to current. (Attached is a diagram explaining the concept behind this load). However, the output is reading 0.00 mV.
We have soldered wires onto each of the connection points with the exception of the "Laser Diode -ve or null" on the diagram provided to us (attached below) and would like to know if you could assist us. The setup is as follows:
The "Power & TTL -ve" is attached to ground.
The "TTL control +ve" and "Power +ve" is attached to a 5V source
The "LD -ve" is attached to the cathode end of the rectifier diode
The "LD +ve" is attached to the 1 ohm resistor
We are planning to power it with the arduino, however we have tried powering it with 5V DC through the arduino and a myDAQ and still not results.
Based on the connections and what is written, is there a problem with the setup and if not, do you have any idea what the problem may be?
pics in a sec

my 1st thought was he had put power to the TTL which should shut the driver down.. a problem I have seen before-

Are you talking about this driver?
I can't see any pics. My guess if it is that driver, is their supply current isn't enough or not high enough voltage causing the load diodes forward voltage lowering the voltage at the resistor to nothing. Hence no reading.

he sent me pics in a email WAY too large- spent an hour I will never get back trying to resize and upload.

if you PM am email addy you can look and be a good friend and post them here for me- I tried to +8 you but apparently I repped you not long ago --in older MS windows resizing was super easy- now its a pita..
Id like to punch Bill Gates in the throat.

had to take pics of the pics with my camera set for 600x800
sry for the poor quality.. he got one of those good dummy/test load kits from Odic-Force(UK) top notch place and very clear directions- afaik he build the dummy load right..and he has it set up right-- waiting to hear if he had power going to the TTL- that 'turns' the laser off-- no power it is full on.

From the picture I see only one diode for a load. Not sure what the voltage drop is on it so it could be the issue. I also always see the resistor being on the other side of the diode for testing mv across. When I set up that same driver I put a 1n4001 diode from VCC to ttl + But I was also running the driver at 7.2v. The power supply is not in the pictures so we cant tell how much current the driver is getting.
