Removing the PCB from cells.

Removing the metal strip longside the battery can be very hazardous. If the strip touches other metal of the cell the strip heats up in no time. I had a small burn blister on my hand from this exercise.

Do it when the cell is almost depleted for more safety.

I'm going to try this on one of my two sanyo 2600mA, they both have protection PCB and one PCB is falling off -_- so I guess I'll try it :beer: although I really like the protection but I can live without it

Nah,I was just ranting about all the negativity about the post on don't remove the protection,don't do this 'cuz it's dangerous,etc.,etc.I just wanted people to realize,what we do here is inherently unsafe if you don't use common sense.Every toy we play with/scavenge parts from here has warnings we choose to ignore in the sake of fun/curiosity/learning how it works.Just like the stuff I/we did as kids.Musta been my time of the month:horse:I took a Midol,all is well now.:beer:
