Hi Guys,
First off, I don't think I can call this a build, because the laser is already built, I just need to find a working host.

I am ordering a BR and Red laser from http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1224680882
He is telling me that I need 5v+ for the red, and 7v+ for the blu-ray, but both should be <12v. So I plan on using the same host for both as long as it's between 7v-12v...

How do I know which host to buy? I don't really care about which batteries to use, whether it's AA, AAA, CR123a etc... because I plan on buying a charger. Obviously AA would be more convenient, but I find that CR123A light look cooler xD

I want the pointer to be sturdy, but since I don't have many tools at my disposal and all of these DX lights vary in size by so much, I'm not sure how well it will turn out :<

Can someone please link me to a good host for the laser I am trying to build? Could someone also explain how to wire everything up inside of the host? (ie. get the button to work and stuff)

Thanks a bunch =]

Most people here use the MXDL flashlights from DX. If you want a sturdy good solid-feel laser, go get an MXDL flashlight. There are still many though, so take ur pick. All are about just as good. (many choose the ones with back buttons too)

The MXDL flashlights are constructed similarly to each other, so it shouldn't be too difficult to mod one. Just follow one of the builds using an MXDL host. I bought mine already (it feels really nice to hold and look at, trust me) and now waiting for the laser module.
