yeah, It's okay to use tape to wrap everything, it helps by preventing any shorts that might occur, but try to avoid tape on heat dissipating surfaces or areas that may get warm

How is that useless? It describes exactly what happens when you cover a driver or any other circuit in tape.

Wether or not it is a problem is another matter: you need to find how much power the driver dissipates, and if available cooling is still stuffcient without air circulation.

whats ur point man?! everytime you reply with useless comments
if you dont wanna help then dont even bother.

Hey superkai... you don't need prove your ignorance.....:tsk:
Use your head...

I'm sure every one else that read my post knew that I was helping you...

Here I'll go slow...

If you wrap insulation (blanket/tape) around something giving of
heat (you/the Flexdrive) then (you/the Flexdrive) will get hotter...

So if you want it to get hotter.... wrap some tape around it...
If you don't want it to get hotter... don't wrap some tape around it...

Sorry I can't make it simpler than that...

BTW... if you don't want any help... don't post asking for it..

It look's like it's all going to be mounted in side the case (cause of the hole that's cut out?)-- i would tape the wires on bouth sides of the flexdrive to the inside of the case to hold it there (or use some hot glue) leaveing the flex drive untaped, so that it get's better air.
My 2 cents.

:tired:

I got banned because 5 friends...none that had anything to do with my argument...got together and made a complaint. When I asked C0ld why..he said he didn't know, just that he received 5 complains. So I got grouped hugged over an argument that had nothing to do with the people that complained. Not the same here, and you should mind your own business. This way you don't run the danger of talking about what you don't know, and assuming I cared in any way.

common guys lay off him

English mightn't be his first language or something

BTW heat shrink tubing is better because it also provides a bit of structural support for your connections.
