new guy need help

Ok I have a 300mw blues pointer I got from a friend worked great till the diode got wet now it still emits light but the beam will not focus and it really sucks. I figured I would fix it problem 1 there is no name on it I contacted the person it was bought from and they told me it comes from the builder? Bullshit so then I look up the driver chip numbers easy to find no problems there.. the problems is that the actual diode seams to be pressed in, I figured that so I thought I would look up new diode to try and get some idea of what I was looking at. So I néed advice on how to replace it and from where to find part

have you looked at any of the build threads to get an idea on how its done???

You should first see if the lens got dislodged or some water or crap got in there before dismantling the rest of the laser. It also sounds like you don't know about how these lasers are assembled in the first place; reading some more threads will help you understand what goes into these and help you not break the laser while trying to repair it. You should also get some laser goggles.
