hi. im new in this page. and it is my first time to build my own homemade burning laser. i got one lpc-815 250-300mw laser diode, one amc7135 350ma drive, one coated glass lens for red laser 635nm-980nm and one aixix module or 5.6mm laser dioedes, but i dont really know how to connect my laser diode to my amc7135 driver. can i use the 350ma to my laser diode 250-300mw?
thank you for help

Be careful with an AMC driver and a case neg diode. The AMC regulates on the neg side so you should make sure the diode is isolated from the host ie use an anodized HS if poss;). I think I had a short through the HS on an AMC chip that blew a mits 500...expensive lesson.

Edit: for info about wiring up D+ and D- check the site where you bought the board the output contact points should be listed. Have a look here it might help:

The 1050mA has 3 x 7135 chips and the 350mA has only 1 x 7135...They are very similar just a different no. of chips. The wiring will be pretty much the same, again check the site where you bought it.

Edit: Of course you can make your own driver, but it will be much more complicated than simply checking up the outputs of a driver that you already have...

Make sure you really have the 350mA driver. More than about 400mA and you'll burn out that laser diode. You also need heatsinking to prevent it from dying.

Building that driver in that video would be a good learning experience and you'd have more control over the current you provide to your laser.

I'm 100% sure about my driver, it's 350ma. Can use it to my 250-300mw laser diode?

And the driver from video clip, is it better than my acm?
