Firstly, I know they're only cheap like £4 but I would rather fix it that repair it.
The first problem is that the push-to-make switch thing has completely snapped of the circuit board. Can this be fixed by re-soldering it on? Also a while back before I discovered this forum I tried to make the laser more powerful by turning the little screw on the circuit (possibly pot modding) It didn't add power or seem to take any power but it has suddenly turned very weak so I was wondering which way should I turn the screw to try and get it back to normal?

I'm very new to lasers and do not understand any of the technical talk.

Thanks in advance!:)

Sure, it can be fixed. However to get at it you will need to take the module out of the case. This can be quite tough to do, and really, it's not worth it!

It's possible, but not economical. Would you attempt to repair a light bulb if it burnt out?

uranium i dont think its possible.
if you pot mod a laser you are just going to kill it no matter what if it lasts 5min or a few days if your lucky.
now if the laser looks like its putting out a red dot its burnt out and now emmiting IR light and will burn your eyes without you knowing.
if you snaped the switch off unless you are reLLY GOOD at soldering i dont think you will be able to put it back on and the pins are probably gone thus making it unsolderable.
PICS PLEASE
cheers
