Need help with host

Hello all.
I am currently building a laser,and i have all the parts.The problem here is that I am using a battering holder instead of just a driver with a spring.
Could someone sugjest what I should use for a host?

Edit* : I have seen people adding springs to the driver instead of wires.My only question is is how do they do that?
Also,Is there anything I have to do to my diode for that to happen?

No, i have no host yet,and since I ordered a battery HOLDER , I have to use something that has a section that I can open to change the batteries.And since it is a solid recatangle it wont fit into anything circular.

hey momo, go to home depot and get those husky led flashlights i think you can get 3 for 10 bucks and the come with their own holder. it takes 3 aaa batts i believe.

Unless you MUST have a handheld.. Try a small project box from radioshack? They dont look that bad and are about the size of a pack of cigarettes.

yes you can open them. it is molded 5 sides with a removeable lid

I also suggest the Radioshack project box. I used them for my first builds and they worked great, they come in several different sizes and they leave you a nice amount of space to work with. My first real build is in a Radioshack project box and it still runs to this day, it was made two years ago.
