I'm a total newbie when it comes to lasers. I'm currently working on a detonator for my fireworks (The beam is what is going to detonate the wick). I bought a 150 mw diode from ebay. I know nothing about how the laser circuits work.

This is the diode I bought:

150mW 405nm Blue-Violet "blu-ray" Laser Diode in Module - eBay Other, Lighting Lasers, Industrial Supply MRO, Business Industrial. (end time 24-Aug-09 15:01:04 AEST)

Could someone please give me some help on how to buy / build the driver for the circuit.

There is a lot of free Laser Related info here... all you have to do is read...
read and read some more...

Contrary to what some members may say... using the [Search] button
will allow you to access the tons of Laser Related information on the
Forum.

BTW... at 90ma you will be lucky to get 100mW of power from that Laser Diode...

You should be checking in the B/S/T section of the forum...

It is not a BLUE 473nm Laser it is a Blu-Ray 405nm Laser...
I would not purchase from a site that does not know what they
are selling...

As I've mentioned before... go to the B/S/T (Buy/Sell/Trade)
section of the Forum... you will find what you are looking for
there..
Including more Info on Lasers.....................

BTW.... with a little research on your part... you could have
found this Thread on building your own Laser Driver....

When I first came to this forum... and before asking any questions....
I read as many posts as I could over many hours and many days on the
information that I was looking for so I wouldn't look and sound like a Noob....
You could not possibly read all those threads in 7 minutes....

Since you don't want to do any real research you can buy whatever you like...

it will prob work but if i was going to spend that amount af money for a driver I would for sure get a Dr Lave Flex drive V4. rember the search button is your friend ! the driver you use will depend on the battery voltage you have to feed it with, do some recearch all the answers to your questions are here you just have to look for em.
