Default Need help diagnosing 450nm laser

Hi, I just built a pltb450b laser in sinner s copperhead host using a 1.8A boost driver from techhood. I tried it with a 3e lens and output was only 800mW and with the fake g2 lens it was 1000mW. I was expecting more around 1.6-2W. There are few things I can think of that can go wrong:
1. The adjustable driver was not set at 1.8A as I dont know how to set it and techhood said he can set it at 1.8A
2. Since the output is exactly half of expected maybe the driver is not boost and needs 7.2V instead of 3.6V
3. The diode is damaged somehow

Since I have a heatsink epoxied onto the driver and soldered to the pill so before I try taking it apart I wanted to ask here if someone had same/similar issue

Thanks everyone in advance

What are you using for a battery? Is it fully charged?
It's possible you are correct about it not being a boost but I am unfamiliar with techhoods drivers.

I am using a fully charged 3.7V ultrafire 18650 (sorry I thought it was 3.6V before)

Recently I have been having some troubles with the ultra fires. I abandoned them all together. Two more things:
1:Can you confirm the battery is fully charged to (4.0-4.2V) with a DMM
2:what type of LPM are you using To know for sure you're getting 1000mW or less?
Can you measure any resistance in the tail cap.

Just to rule out a few causes.

Easy enough to assess diode damage. Check raw output with out lens and meter it aswell.

Goodluck though it hurts my feelings when my lasers do not work as expected.

I tried 2 batteries, one was at 4.12V other was 3.92V

and here is a picture of raw output

I am checking output using a LASERBEE A 2W LPM
