Need driver help

Hey guys, I am new to lasers and i am doing the aurora build recommended in this video: How to make a cheap 1000mW+ Blue Laser Pointer - YouTube
and i was reading about and i realized the driver i got that was recommended is probably crap. (18V 5W Cree Circuit Board for Flashlights (16.8mm*5.5mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme) Unfortunately it is too late to change the driver for me unless its an absolute must! I would just like to know if what i got is bad,it was recommended by pyrogadgetsso im not 100% sure ...

Nah, it'll work okay.

that driver will work fine, just make sure you use 2 cr123a batteries, dont use 1 18650 since the driver is a buck driver and 1 18650 battery will not provide the voltage required for the driver to operate
