Hello all!
First of all, I would like to say I have finally got my internet working and am back on LPF!
Let's get to the point.
My PHR was working fine until about a week ago when the contacts on the back end of the battery housing popped out when I was inserting batteries.
I got it back in, but it still doesnt work.
Do I need to solder a new battery housing onto the leads coming out of the laser module?

Thanks for any help,

If the wire popped off, there could of been a chance of it bouncing on the terminal sending pulses through the diode, (just a thought), this may have killed the diode, or... the driver?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

just losing the power to the drive did not hurt anything. if wires attached to the battery touched something then it certainly could have caused damage. also if you connected the batteries in reverse polarity then you could have damaged some components and / or the diode. a pic would really help.
