The aperture shutter on my PL-III started rattling a few weeks back... for no reason. It hasn't been dropped, shaken vigorously, or abused in any way, so it doesn't really make sense. Is there any way to fix this?

PL-III ? Can you post a picture or a link so I can see what type that is ? Musta been snoozin when that sucker snuck out ! If it is similar to a Nova Alpha, you can tighten it down easily with a screw driver...

It's the one from OEM that everyone's been getting... also known as a CNI PGL-III, or Aries.

OH ! I missed the PGL part somehow :p The front end of the Aries just twists off - BUT I would check with Frothy to see if that would invalidate your warranty or not...It could be glued in place, unsure on that particular one...doe the aperture twist on and off, or does it have a little slide to block the beam ?
