I just hooked up my DIY 803t module to a transformer 240V to 6V@300mA... and pop goes my diode :'( what went wrong? What current do batteries normally give?

You mean that you sent 300mA through the diode? If that is the case, you simply gave it too much current.

no no no.... 300mA through a driver and then to the diode

Then that's 300mA, because the driver is in series with the diode, right? Also was it DC?

yeah if you hooked it to a plain transformer you just sent AC current through it

What driver are you using? What current is IT set at? Is everything soldered well?

Peace,
