That's a profoundly dangerous piece of equipment you have there, assuming it's functional. A shot to the eye will cause hemorrhaging and instant blindness, and the high voltage will kill you in an instant. Please be careful.

The trigger lead will attach to the flash lamp - usually a ring or coil close to one of the ends.

Yes I know the danger of that thing
It came from Medical equipment

Yes I know that about flash Lamp ..... but, here nothing .....

can we trigger the Flash with only the anode wire ?

I'm gonna use it in a DIY CNC machine, but i'm living in france i can't buy SSY-1 (less powerfull that this thing)

PS : the 2 wire on the lens it's for the power suply of 2 Peltier cell, to keep lens cold

/!\ Sry for double post /!\

after some search it's not a Flash Lamp, but an Xenon ARC Lamp

I found this site : Course 4, Module 5, Arc-Lamp Power Supplies
there is a lot of tech about solid state Laser, power suply, and more

If, I'm right , I just have to discharge capacitor into the lamp, to get flash

If you never post again on this forum, we will know what happened to you....why is it so important for you to make a "DIY" CNC machine?
