"Diode lens" - Do you mean the diode window, or the focusing lens? If so, which type of lens does it currently have?

In my experience the best way to do that is by removing the can. Not a lot of people have the ability to remove it though.

Anyone with super steady hands and a dremel. That or a decanner tool. Plus they'll need a diode removal tool and a press.

Where do you live? There's a lot of people with the skills, but it would be best to direct you to someone in your country so shipping costs aren't a big problem.

whats wrong with the current diode window? my M140 had some discolouring once which was making an ugly beam and i thought the diode was ready to blow or something , then i put some methylated spirits and a cotton bud and "spun" the bud on the window and after letting the meths evaporate properly it was all fixed, perfect beam!
may not work with yours just thought it say anyway

If you end up deciding not to remove the can, I can meter it for you. I'd rather not risk damaging it trying to remove the can though

I got denatured alcohol instead of methylated spirits,was i supposed too dilute the alcohol,or just rub it on the lens without diluting it with 4oz to 1 gallon water? If i was supposed to dilute it,i'm gonna need someone to replace it.

the meths i used was purple and i cant say much about dilution as meths/denatured alc. have other chemicals rammed in it to make it undrinkable, but i dont think much water if any, maybe 1-2% water?(guess), i think denatured alcohol and meths are almost the same thing(without being technical)
i would use it pure as you have it, but if i was going to dilute it i would be more keen to put 4oz of water into a gallon of meths/denat. alc. than the other way around, water might condensate or do other dumb stuff, where as meth etc. will all evapourate,
and give it a little "spin" with a clean cotton bud after the meths one too
MAKE SURE you let the chemicals evapourate properly before rushing to turn the laser on also, dont take any chances!
