Lens on x150 cracked after a week///

I just got my x150 from NovaLasers.
I was playing with it last night, put it away in it's case,
I took it out this afternoon and the beam was really weak and sprays green everywhere...
upon close inspection the blue glass is cracked

I have no idea how this happened...
Do you think Nova will take care of the issue?

well if its not covered by warranty
they'll probably fix it for a cost

You could always remove the lens and then add a new one externally but that would be a bit of a stretch.

if its only a week old its most likely got a warranty send it back and they will replace it

Interesting, this is the second reported case of a cracked lens since I have been registered on this forum. So I don't think it happens very often.

Well they issued me an RMA and I shipped it off to them today... I'll let you guys know if they take care of me or not...

My X105 lens cracked...
They told me the most likely cause was "tampering."
I dunno... but I wouldn't tamper with $200.
I found out that my nosy sister "played" with it for a bit.
She most likely dropped it.

But I didn't want to send it back so I fixed it myself with some gorilla glue and a nice lens from a digital camera. I accidentally scratched up the lens a bit but it isn't really noticeable. It works fine... And now my laser has adjustable focus!!! And I got the divergence down to 0.9mrad

I got my laser back today, it was covered under warranty... all is good, but my eyes are still messed up...
