I bought a Rod LD that was already pressed in to a Aixiz module fron High Teck Dealz. Theres nothing wrong with it till I soldered the test wires to the pins on the LD. I noticed that the LD rocked back and foruth when i moved the wires and eventualy came out, and I craped my paints . Sinse its a open can and this is my frist build I was worried that I might dammage the LD. Well I pushed the LD back in to the module and it came right back out so i put it back in and twisted alittle bit and it held. IS there anyhtin i can do to make it tighter like glue it, or shim it or something. Also I have to take the test wires off and solder a flex driver on it for a dorcj jr build and i dont want it to pull out. So what do I do someone please help!! :'(

take the back half of the aixiz module and fit the 3 pins into the little hole at the back of the module...Then put it in a vise and tighten it...make sure it is straight and that it doesnt twist....

It should be flush and it will never come out unless you bang on it with a hammer....not that i know for sure ::)

... trouble is that you need good thermal contact to the module so a tight fit is essential, a glue like araldite is not going to do it. :-/
I had the same problem once, I fixed it by using a different module....But I did use the loose one eventually.
I used a scraper to take off the chrome plating in the reccesss, then tinned it with solder ( banged the module on the bench to get rid of excess solder), the LD went in nice and tight.

That stuff works great when you need to join two things together permanently and heat transfer is an issue

oooow,I have used the thermal paste in the past but I didn't know they did a 2 part thermal epoxy!
Looks just the job. Thanks for the info Ironbar.
