Default Re: Laser on for too long?

ikr, Nope i havent, it's the only one I have. Is it worth the hassle of paying money and waiting 30-45 days for it to be repaired or should I get someone somewhat experienced with electricity to help me out?

Hmm. Well, if you send it to someone else and they open it, it will void the warranty. However, it may also be a much faster repair. Before you do anything though, take a flashlight and look down the battery tube - see if anything is loose when you shake it (not hard though).

Maybe the spring isn't making good contact. If nothing moves when you shake it, get a different battery and try that.

Hmm. Is the head unscrewable? You may need to clear out that glue. But note that doing this will probably void your warranty, so only do it if you are sure.

The point is - can you access and clear out that spring without voiding it?

I thought lazerer rifle 532nm was positive to the tail cap??

Try using a long, skinny pair of needle-nosed pliers and tightening or loosening the retaining ring inside the tail cap clicky. Mine was loose from the factory and experienced intermittent connection issues like you describe.

I know i guess i was lucky that it didnt burn through 0.0

But anyways, My brother was just in the room and out of no where the laser turned on and he called me up, (laser was switched on obviously, but no way of me knowing) I was delighted but about 40 seconds later it decided to turn itself off

I guess the diode or driver is not fried though right?

Okay so for the past few days I have tried to contact Lazerer and had no success so I am now thinking I will disassemble the laser and try find the problem... The laser continues to come on every now and again only to turn off a minute later . I have no idea what the problem is and I've ordered a new battery... If that doesn't work I might as well send it back but I am worried because of the bad customer service. I dont think the glue near/on the spring is a problem otherwise it wouldn't turn on at all. I have no idea how to take apart this laser

Don't mess with the laser.

You got a defective unit.

Contact Max for a replacement or a refund.

If he doesn't reply, send him another email. he will eventually reply and resolve the issue to your satisfaction, as he always does.
